The ACM Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) is the premier international conference on topics at the confluence of information retrieval, databases, and knowledge management. Running annually since 1992, CIKM attracts top talent from industry and academia, with the goal of fostering collaboration and bridging the academic-commercial gap in the database, information retrieval, and knowledge management communities. We look for prospective submissions of highly interactive full-/half-day workshops proposing novel research, deepening established research topics or presenting practical applications on the many aspects of the data lifecycle (data acquisition, preprocessing, modeling, integration/aggregation, storage, analysis and consumption). Interdisciplinary workshops bridging across different communities are also highly encouraged. Workshops will complement the main CIKM conference to be held in-person at Atlanta, Georgia, United States from October 17-22, 2022.

Submission Guidelines

Please use the CIKM 2022 Workshop Proposal Template for your submission. Submit the proposal here through Easychair (https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=cikm2022). Workshop proposals are reviewed based on the quality of the proposal, their relation to the main CIKM topics, and the likelihood to attract enough participants as well as the hosting capacity of the conference.

Requirements for In-Person Activities

The CIKM 2022 conference will be held in-person in Atlanta, GA, United States. To enhance the in-person experience, it is required for each workshop to at least plan for several organizers to be attending the conference and organizing the workshops in-person. Some invited speakers and/or participants have the flexibility to attend online, and all online activities will be supported by the technical teams of CIKM 2022.

Proposal Submission Dates

  • May 31, 2022: Workshop proposal submission
  • June 14, 2022: Proposal acceptance notification
  • August 15, 2022: Camera ready of the proposal

Exact workshop paper submission and author notification due dates are at the discretion of workshop organizers; a recommended timeline is indicated below.

Suggested Dates for Paper Submissions to the Workshops

  • August 15, 2022: Paper submission deadline
  • September 15, 2022: Paper acceptance notification
  • October 22, 2022: Workshop date

Workshop papers will not be included in the ACM proceedings. The options of if and where the proceedings are to be archived are left to the organizers. To help preserve the authors’ ability to submit a revised version of their paper to a conference or journal, joining the volume is suggested to be left at the discretion of the authors.

For further information, contact the CIKM2022 Workshop Co-Chairs George Owen Mohler, Srijan Kumar and Carl Yang at cikm2022-workshop@easychair.org.
